Clock Talk will run on any Macintosh system running System 7.5 or later. In order to run Clock Talk on systems earlier than OS 8.0, you must download and install Appearance Manager 1.0.2 from the Apple DevWorld web site (http://devworld.apple.com/dev/sdk.html). The Appearance 1.0.2 SDK contains the Control Panel and Extension necessary to run Appearance Manager on systems earlier than Mac OS8. if you are already running Mac OS 8 or later, you do not need to download the new Appearance Manager. You already have what you need to run Clock Talk.
For speech capabilities, you must install the "Text to Speech" option from the OS installer (it is not installed by default).
